You know back in the 80's I had a spotting tour around Munich Airport

We were walking around the GA area , and we noticed that nearly every aircraft had their top surfaces pockmarked.

Then we remembered the following :-

"Europe’s most catastrophic hailstorm was that which struck Munich, Germany on July 12, 1984. Some 70,000 homes (and 190 aircraft!) were damaged and 400 people injured by hail the size of baseballs. Property damage was estimated at over US$2 billion."

It was a shame because there were a few rare ones there too.
