Switch from Vodafone

I've been with Vodafone and previously BT for several years and have had a consistent 6.5-7Mb broadband speed. However, in the last week speeds have dropped and Vodafone now tell me my line is only capable of 5Mb, and I rarely get more than 4Mb. My router is reporting a data rate of 5280kb. If I was to switch back to Eircom would you be able to offer better speed? I'm in Kill in Co. Kildare. Can PM my phone number if needed.

    Hi vinniemac,

To be honest, I can't say that switching to eircom will change anything. Ourselves and Voda both use the same external connection so unless the eircom modem gives a stronger signal it would probably be much the same. In saying that, we may be able to help you improve it by checking the line for faults and getting tech support to troubleshoot the DSL connection for you. Send on the number anyway and I'll run some tests to confirm the max line speed for you.

    Regards

    James
