    i am thinking about getting the Sony NEX7, and i was wondering if the Song Alpha SLR lens will fit the NEX 7?

    They will with an adapter. The Nex series use E mount lenses, and the Alpha SLR/SLTs use the A mount (inherited from Minolta).

    The Sony LA-EA2 basically adds a translucent mirror and the Alpha A65 autofocus system to the Nex, letting you use all A mount lenses with speedy autofocus. Downside is that it adds some bulk to the small but perfectly formed Nex 7. But it's actually not that big really - any A mount lens you're going to add to the camera is going to be relatively big anyway. If you already have A mount lenses, and you get a Nex, the LA-EA2 is a no-brainer.

    There's also the LA-EA1. It's a bit smaller, but it lacks the translucent mirror/PDAF system - so it's basically an electronically coupled mount adapter. There are no third party options at present.
