The picture alone is enough. I'm judging this book by its cover.

To be fair, you're supposed to judge a book by it's cover, that's why they have blurbs and sh1te on the back.

That said, this thread shouldn't go to the TV forum, it should go to the recycle bin. Do no pass Go, do not collect any advertising revenue. Fcuk the US trying to kill good TV shows!

won't work the humour won't translate. the only good US remake is The Office and that became its own thing after the first couple of seasons, but US being the US ran it into the ground. US tv is still leagues ahead of a lot of other countries though, they make tons of sh1te but the quality stuff makes up for it. Breaking Bad is the best thing on tv at the moment.

America shouldn't be allowed to steal UK tv shows.

Funny the way US humour translates just fine over here, but not the other way around...

I don't understand why the original shows can't be aired, not enough profit?

    Seasons not long enough?

Hopefully it's not because the British/Irish accents are too difficult to handle.

    That was so awful...uggghhh!

They wouldn't but you can be guaranteed that the words wont be "Americanized" so that they get it but will instead just be taken out, Americans are too Conservative to put up with some of the stuff in the UK version.
