Einhoven would mean getting a train that requires at least 1 stop (takes up to 2 hours) in Dordrecht

    Not sure about brussels

    Hope he's alright

Brussels is definitely your quickest route, it must be less than an hour if I remember correctly. If you fly into Eindhoven you're reasonably close to antwerp but it might require a few transfers on the trains. I hope your husband is ok.

Ryanair fly to Charleroi which is the wrong side of Brussels (by a long shot).

Aer Lingus fly to Brussels airport. There are hourly direct trains from the airport to Antwerp, departing at 6 minutes past the hour. There's an indirect one (change at Mechelen) departing at 39 minutes past the hour. They both take about 45 minutes.

Check bahn.de for details of the trains.

    Good luck.

Train L 3270 leaves Brussels Airport at 9:04pm and will have you in Antwerp before 10pm.
    Standard Ticket is EUR 10.20.

Unless you're on the 1715 flight this evening it doesn't look like you're going to make it tonight, even using changes.

You could also look at Aer Lingus to Amsterdam - there are also direct trains (either 1 or 2 hours) from the airport to Antwerp, as well as indirect ones changing in Rotterdam.

There's an Aer Lingus flight to Brussels tomorrow morning, departing 0650 for €266. There's also an 0600 to Amsterdam for €246 or 0910 for €212. Any of these should have you in Antwerp before lunchtime. Note that walk up train fares could be expensive, but there's not a lot that can be done about that.

I was in Brussels about a year ago and from what I remember the train station was in the same building as the airport and there was a ticket desk where it was possible to buy the ticket. Other than that I can't be much help. Hope he is OK and makes a good recovery.
