Graduate Quantity Surveyor

    Hi all, relatively new to boards.ie but I am in a bit of a situation. I am recent graduate in Quantity Surveying in May of this year. I am finding the job situation tough going, I know the sector is struggling but Ive seen my friends securing jobs whereas ive gotten no solid answer after sending out hundreds of emails..I would like to get some experience in Ireland first, be it for free for a few weeks/months. However Im after getting a couple interviews in England but have been unsuccessful, due to the huge competition around.

    Anyone have any suggestions for me, recruitment agencies any good or is there contacts people may have for companies looking for a starting QS.

    Appreciate any replies.

    Unfortunately the only two QS I know both emigrated to Abu Dhabi. Apparently there's jobs galore out there for QS / Engineers etc.

    I take it you have tried Sepam ? They seem keen to hire graduate QS's.
