When travelling on the Dart, why can't they announce " Please change here for Dublin Bus services" at station's such as Blackrock, Bray and Dun laoghaire. They could even announce the route number that operates from that station, for example: for Dun laoghaire it would be 46A,75,111,45A. It would be of benefit to tourists especially who are travelling around Dublin by public transport and don't know the area that well.

But you can get off at any Dart station and pick up a Dublin Bus service. You'll have some eejit complaining that when he gets off at Howth nobody tells him he can get the 31 bus outside.

I know the travelling public are stupid at times but they're not that stupid. Putting to much on announcements just confuses them.

Well, it's because CIE has pioneered a system known as fractured and disintegrated transport.

It ensures that passengers don't become too 'spoon fed' or complacent.
