    Hi ,

I registered for Red Rua in Tallaght recently after seeing a post a while ago on this forum and intend to try out the Hassleblad there when it comes back from service on some old slides and negs I have

Has anyone used it there , does it have a hassleblad equivalent of Digital Ice for scratch removal etc ?,

Any tips , info appreciated ,

i remember someone saying here that they have an (i think) fuji scanner which is more than good enough, and much quicker to use than the hasselblad.

They have a lovely kodak IQ smart 3, which is great for bulk scanning - it'll easily handle a roll at a time and gives results you'd be delighted with if it wasn't for the monolith standing beside it. It doesn't have the pristine quality of the Hasselblad though. The hasselblad is one image at a time so is *very* time consuming. For very high quality prints it can't be beaten.

I'm not sure about the scratch removal thing? They have the full suite, so i'm guessing yes? Don't quote me on that though! I usually touch up in photoshop.
