Ah, come one now...........if you can afford one, you don't need opinions on prettiness or otherwise from us before you make up your mind to buy one ;)

Personally I think it's absolutely rank.

It's a long sad story. I had an R3 which got replaced under warranty with an R5. I asked for an S3 instead of the R5 and Cervelo obliged. I now have a problem with the S3. Cervelo have said I will get another S3 if they can find one in my size, if not it will be an S5.

The S3 is a lot prettier than the S5 in my opinion.

The R ones still look decent. After two warranty issues I'd be asking for a R5ca :pac:

Taste is very subjective matter. I for once do not like at all how the S5 looks but that doesn't mean it's a bad bike, in the contrary, it's very stiff and fast bike and it's probably more aero than a lot of TT frames.

Can you give something more and get an R5? (or even better an R5ca if you really have deep pockets.)

Don't apologize for it. It's not anyone's ugly child.

    Cervelo in frame warranty shocker.

The new one is even uglier..

Actually the whole 2013 lineup apart from R5 and R5ca have horrible graphics/paint jobs.

I hope the growing trend for aero stuff dies a death, but I fear that it won't. Not for a while anyway.

Quick, before we forget what proper bicycles should look like.

Cervelo builds their bikes to be fast rather than pretty. The s5 is particularly hideous. The lovechild of a p2 and an s2. I have 4 cervelos and no warranty issues yet but I would say that of all of them s1, s2, p4 and r3 sl that only the s2 is in danger of being called handsome.

Back to the s5 though.. having briefly trying to chase Sean lacey on his one in a race this year I can confirm that they are indeed fast with the right engine on them.

They're no good at being creamed into overhead car park barriers at slow speed so they must not be built that well for speed :pac:

Two frames replaced under warranty! Would make you a bit nervous about buying one second hand! Would love one though ....!

Quigs, you have so many Cervelo's none of them get enough use to develop problems!
