What are you up to farming wise today?
It's unreal to be in the middle of the busy time of the year and to be bet back indoors by the wind and rain. Just back in from feeding a few indoor calves let out the ducks closed a few shed doors that were open and that's it can't see myself doing anything else on the farm today. Will herd later if rain abates a bit. Good day to go off and tax the car maybe.

If travelling today, you should be fine. I'm near Limerick at the moment and no real strong wind YET. Aillwee cave in west clare might be the place to go in weather like this............:D

The best thing to do on days like today is as little as possible as trying to do things on days like today usual leads to problems and accidents

Once everything is locked up and battened down properly and the cows are milked then do as little as possible

will you go away our that and man up, plenty of undercover work that can be done. What you do on the wet days will determine how much you will get done on a dry day. That theory kinda goes out the window this year though. Also a good day to buy sunny weather related products!!! How much do you want for that standing grass, - sure the way today is it might never be cut :)

Seeriously though, I had "business" in the town yesterday afternoon, it was a balmy 24c and there was a great buzz on the streets. icecream and cold beer was the order of the day.
Went through there earlier and not so much buzz as squelch ! Boy do things turn quickly.

on the road all day in terrible conditions, looked at a few fields of whole crop with a disheartened farmer in the pissing rain. Drove a few more miles along the road and called into a cheerful guy with hundreds of acres to harvest and not a fear in the world.
