Reversed into a car by accident

    So was in town and was reversing out a of parking space and there were cars parked(parallel) on the other side and there was another car pulled up beside one of them....anyways i didnt look in my mirrors enough and slowly reversed, and hit into the back of the car.....got out and the man got out, he looked at it and said"f**k it...its fine go on ahead"... there was a small dint like you could see a silver dint...he didnt take any details( he might have taken the reg)... is there any way he can come up against me over it?

    Probably not, unless there's CCTV.

    It sounds like he really didn't mind.

    Most people are actually rather nice about these things. It's just when you come up against the odd chancer, that you can end up being taken to the cleaners.

    If there is damage to his car, you're insured against it anyway.

    That depends.

    He might not have been insured/Nct/Taxed and just wanted a get out of jail free card.

    I wouldn't worry.

    Agreed however, I recommend everyone take at least a phone number. I told someone not to worry about it after hitting me at traffic lights and discovered the bumper has dropped later.

    Why do you say this, it's not like I dont appreciate the face he was kind...but i was just wondering whether or not theres a chance this may be an issue.
