Does Glenageary dart station's ticket office close at 15:45pm, this is what it says on irishrail.ie and it seems very early, doesn't it?

I think it is only a matter of time before the ticket offices in the majority of DART stations are permanently closed *.

These days I almost never see them being used any more. Everyone just using LEAP, monthly/yearly tickets or buying the tickets from the TVMs.

Employing someone to sit in a ticket office all day is pointless in this age of Leap cards and TVMs.

    * They should continue to have ticket offices in the busiest stations and stations with lots of tourists, in particular the four city center stations, Dun Laoghaire, etc. And perhaps temporary ticket desks for special events, for instance Landsdowne Road for matches, Bray for festivals, etc.

Where they do keep ticket desks, they should also sell and top-up LEAP.
