Recommendation for optician

I know this has been asked before but just looking for a recommendation for a good optician, Dublin northside/north county if possible. I see from an older thread a couple of people mentioned Swords Eye Centre. Anyone have recent experience there?

I have been going to a well-known optician chain for years and the last time I went I needed varifocals (yes, I am turning into an old fart). The ones I got were useless (i.e. I need to take my specs off to read!). I went back a couple of times and never really got any satisfaction. Added to all this, I have eye allergies (dry, itchy eyes).

    All recommendations gratefully received :)

If you are have a spare €1,000 to spend I would recommend Opticks on south anne street. They do a good job but are VERY expensive.

ps I am now retired and have no affiliation to any store.
