2003 Ford Fiesta Mk 5 TDCi, Cannot read diagnostic data

    Hi,

This is regarding a 2003 Mk 5 Ford Fiesta 1.3 TDCi. The issue is that I cannot read any diagnostic data using the OBD port. I have tried several different diagnostic scanners and scanning modes, both model specific as well as generic ISO codes, but no connection to the ECU can be established.

Also I have noticed that the yellow engine management light in the dashboard never comes on when switching on the ignition. Other than that the car runs perfectly fine, no issues whatsoever, no power loss etc.

So far I have only checked the fuses behind the glove compartment, they seem to be generally ok, unfortunately I don't have a fuse chart to know which one is responsible for the engine management. Some of them are not live but they look like spare fuses (they were only 7.5 W and 12 W ones, I believe ECU has 20 W).

Any ideas where to go from here?

    Thanks!
