So when things get pretty complicated in life and you can't seem to figure out certain things how do you go about it?

I seriously need to get my head together on a few things at the moment but just can't seem to focus on anything much at the moment living in a state of constant confusion is bloody exhausting and I need some pointers on how to sort my head

No idea what the issues are.

    My few bits of advice:

Pen and paper and make a list. Prioritise what needs to be done, what can be done, what you need to get the issue resolved. You'd be surprised at how something looks less daunting when you have it written down on paper.

I love the line "you should only worry about what you can control". If you can't control certain factors then try not to let them worry you.

Go for a walk/run/swim to clear your head. Even if it's only 30 mins a day it's very important to get out at least once a day.

Talk to someone, share your worries with a close friend or family member. Sometimes just mentioning it to someone makes a difference. It's always good that someone else knows what pressures/stresses you are under.

Go to bed early and eat properly.

There is also helplines such as the Samaritans who will listen to you.

If you've financial problems talk to your bank. Believe it or not banks are playing ball these days. They've certainly got me out of a massive hole lately with a small loan. Organisations such as VdP are really helpful too.

If you've problems with money management you should make an appointment with your local MABS office. Fantastic people in there!

Lots of good advice there but OP sounds overwhelmed.

Whatever you do do, you have to do something non self destructive that doesn't include sleeping where you can switch off for a while and not think about your problem which is hard to do, really really hard and takes a lot of self discipline especially to do it regularly.
You might not be able to meditate, you might go for a walk but still think about it but for me going to an exercise class or team sport forces you to turn off that part of your brain that is freaking out, or I get the same effect from going to a comedy gig and laughing my guts out.. its not about solving your problem once its under control you just need to give yourself a break from taking it so seriously and worrying about it.

Your posts are quite vague so its very hard to help but that's just a few things I do.

This is exactly what I do with most things. It really does put things in perspective to write your thoughts and feelings down. If you have to make decisions write a "pro/ con" list. I find it really works!
