    in dire need of an alternator for a suzuki baleno in the vicinity of west cork ?? any ideas? breakers yards etc etc thanks

    No direct help to you, but you should take it out and you will probably find that it is a fairly standard item made by somebody like Mitsubishi or Denso. Maybe the brackets are different or maybe they're the same as another model.

    You also have the option of getting the old one reconditioned while it's out. I don't know how you're fixed for specialists in West Cork, but I suspect you'd find one if you were prepared to travel 20 or 30 miles.
