On September 16th the The King & Queen's County 10km Road Race will take place in Portarlington at 11am.

The race starts in Laois goes over the border to Offaly before finishing back in Laois. Its a fairly flat course (1 small Hill) which should give some great times.

All the details are below and if you have any questions please post a reply and i will try to respond

Forgot to add there is a 1km race for u/10, u/12, u/14, & u16 on the same day starting before the 10km at 10:30am.

Its a 1km race so if your thinking of running the 10km make sure to bring along your children, nieces, nephews, etc for the race. Entry is €5

Any previous results from 2011 or is this the first year of running?

Still time to enter this 10km race on Sunday week.

This is the 1st running of this race although there was a race on in Portarlington on a similar course for the last 2 years.

My club St. Michaels have taken over the event and made a number of changes to the route and planning to ensure a great day for all runners and their supporters
