A quick question to those who have already applied for BTEA

A quick question to those who have already applied for BTEA - I went to my local SWO this morning and handed in all relevant docs for BTEA (except for college registration). The person working at the reception desk said I should come in on thursday and go to hatch 6 with my forms because I am on JSB. After querying this he then said I can leave it with him and he would pass it around for me. I said thanks as I had just stood in a queue for 30 min.

I dont feel to confident about my forms reaching the right person. Did I do the right thing? Or should you make an appointment to see someone?

    Cheers..

Unfortunately there is no correct answer to this as all offices work differently. I suspect you're ok though.

Same thing happened with me last week. All they took was my application form and none of my supporting documents (registration letter, etc).

Does anyone know what happens next?

I got a letter in the post saying my application for BTEA was successful and I need to send confirmation of registration from college before payment can be approved. It took 3 days.

A weight off my shoulders now I can concentrate on my studies :D

I'd chase that one up if I were you. It's not uncommon for things to get "lost" in the SWO's. I've had to bring in extra copies of documents that I've subbmitted before on a couple of occassions for different things, and I've heard of other people having their complete applications "lost" and having to start again from scratch. A quick phone call or trip to the SWO is the best thing.
