but cant really see why the last one is E600? Graphics card?

Graphics card and Ivy Bridge, the Aspire 5750 is an old model with a Sandy Bridge CPU.

Thanks for the response..but could you tell me the difference between Ivy and Sandy Bridge and is it worth paying out another E100 for? Its been about 4 years since I bought a laptop so I'm not up on the specific technology.

OK - I just read this and there is nothing there that I can see ( I focused on speed/performance) as a compelling reason to go with Ivy over Sandy or am I missing something?

Not saying the Aspire 5750 is a bad deal, you were asking for the difference between the two. Sandy Bridge CPUs are by no means poor performers, yet Ivy Bridge do have the edge in benchmarks, better integrated graphics (which in this case doesn't really matter as the laptop in question also has a GT 630M) and are more power efficient (if battery life is an important factor to you). Does it warrant a premium of 100 yoyos? That call is yours to make. ;)

I'm thinking the Aspire 5750 would probably do the job for what what it will be used for (home laptop / internet / pics)...any other options that people think would be good in this price range (E500 / spec (i5/6GB/500GB)?
