Hot water cylinder not heating

Last winter I installed a solid fuel stove with back boiler. This was combined with my existing oil heating using system link and 3 zones. My problem is that before this was installed if the oil burner was on for an hour in the morning I had enough hot water in the cylinder for showers and the radiators were also hot.
Now if the oil burner comes on for an hour the rads heat up but the cylinder heats only slightly- not enough for a shower. I now have to set the heat to come on 50 mins earlier to the cylinder so that i can have hot water. The oil is now on for nearly 2 hours in the morning as opposed to 1 hour before. Can anyone suggest how to rectify this.

Hi, Sounds like your system link is wired wrong or the Stats are set wrong.
Generally the first source of heat is to the Cylinder as people always want hot water early morning etc for showers etc. When the cyl is hot enough then the Rads heat. You can of course have an override for when you come in and the house is cold so you want the rads to heat first.
Best advice would be to get the Plumber who installed it to come and check it out. It sounds like and easy fix.
