The Alleviate Anthology - did you get a refund?

Last year around this time an outfit called Alleviate Publications announced "the competition everyone wins" whereby anyone who submitted photographs, short stories or artwork would be published in a forthcoming anthology.

The whole thing seemed very dubious to me and I and others warned photographers not to submit work as the copyright protection as published left a lot to be desired. Besides, an anthology whereby all work regardless of merit would be published didn't seem to be a very sound publishing venture not to mention the lack of any status such a publication would have given it's merit-free approach to submissions.

One year on and - surprise, surprise - there is no sign of the anthology. Their website promised - after several delays - that it would be published in July but that did not happen. And I don't think it will ever see the light of day.

    (See: http://www.alleviatepublications.com/alleviateanthology.html )

What I'm interested in is any photographers who did submit work - did you get a refund of the fee you paid as promised on their website?

    Regards,

    Fnergg
