    just wondering got my permit in april 2012 its ouf of date on april 2014
    i have done 2 lessons but now not going to drive for a few years situations changed anyways just wondering when its out of date could i leave it for 5 years before going onto secong permit or do i have to do a test before i get next permit or what and does it make a difference since i started the edt lessons

    The expiry is on the permit 2years from issue.
    All the info regarding would be on rsa.ie

    Yes OP. Your 1st permit expires in April 2014 but you can just put it aside and renew it before April 2019 and not be forced to take the theory again etc...
