connect it to the other tv. you will have to connect it to the satellite dish too.
you will be able to watch the free channels ( bbc1,2,3,4 itv1,2,3,4, etc...)

Thats great thanks for that, I had thought I would have to connect it to the dish alright. There are still some things on the planner of that box I assume these will be watchable once connected to the dish too.

Pretty sure anything on your planner is dead to you once your sub expires, you might have to put your card in the old box to view them.

the sky man said it would be there for a month or so but gone after that, I cant see myself having it connected to the dish before then anyway.

He means its there for a month, until the old cancelled account shuts down, if that's what you've done.
He is of course wrong and the data is accessible with a valid viewing card and connection to satellite feed.

Cool thanks for that I was wondering alright because I figured the box has a hard drive or something in it which stores the programmes so they should be there for the foreseeable future, box still has the card and all in it. Just got a replacement box with bigger memory and HD capability, had a flyer through the door a while ago saying they were replacing these.

Did they replace your box for free?
If so, I wouldnt mind one of those flyers.
