Sword identification, anyone help?

    I was wondering if anyone here could give me some more information about asword I have inherited. It belonged to my great-grandfather but we'd don't seem to know much more. He was in the British army and received an MCE if that is any help

    Its the 1892 British Infantry Officers Pattern sword. The blade length is 978mm.
