    Hi guys,

    I have a question about SUSI. I have just finished my SUSI application. One of the questions is about residence. Does anyone know what is required to show evidence of residence in ireland for three of the last 5 years? banks statements? utility bills? ...?
    I am an independent mature student starting my degree in september this year. I rang SUSI and they said that evidence of doing your leaving cert in ireland could be proof but I did my leaving cert in 1990.
    i am not sure that i have kept any documents from 3-5 years ago?!!
    any help from someone who has knowledge in this area would be much appreciated.

    You can provide;

    Bank statements with activity (in Ireland) in the years specified
    Utility bills
    P60s or P21s
    Social welfare statements if applicable

    At least 1 document per year is needed for these documents apart from a social welfare statement.

    Hey,

    I don't think its documents from 3-5 years ago. What they are looking for is documents from 3 years out of the last 5 years. So you can send them documents that prove you resided in Ireland for the last 3 years (for example), working backwards from August 2012.

    They will send you a list of exactly what documents they are looking for, along with a sheet explaining exactly what type of documents are acceptable and how many of each you are required to send in.

    P60's from the relevant time period showing a full 52 weeks of insurable employment should be sufficient. You can't argue with that

    Any bills, bank statements, revenue letters, social welfare letters from the last 3 years

    It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

    When they say "At least 1 document per year" does it mean they want an document for evrey individual year? So 5 documents are needed?
