Onkyo TX-SR313 + KEF KHT7005 AV Speakers System

    I've been researching for my brother and he's considering the Onkyo TX-SR313 but then I came across this deal on Ebay with a set of KEF speakers. Anyone have KEF or have any opinions on their speaker systems? I'm not one for soundbars, but this seems like it's not a normal soundbar, all reviews praise them very highly.

    That deal is no "deal". The KEF 7005 have been discontinued for at least a year and if something goes wrong with the soundbar you have the whole thing to replace instead of one speaker, if you can get a replacement that is, its also overpriced. For another €85 you could get something like this http://www.tsnversand.de/home-cinema/heimkino-systeme/onkyo-ht-s-9405-thx-schwarz.htm (7.1 THX amp, 5.1 THX speakers) which will blow away the 313 and 7005's. Look further afield than Ireland or the UK mate, you'll get a much better deal. BTW, the 414 is actually cheaper than the 313 on that site.

    The 313 has had a HUGE price drop on that site, down to €249!
