OK so i got news that registration was open for 2nd years for the 2012/13 academic year.

Im in level 6 higher cert business in Tourism. I passed 5 out of 6 modules in semister 1 and 4 out of 5 modules in semister 2. My overall first year result was Exemptions granted.

During the summer i got a Dyslexia test done and as a result of it i would be excempted from German (which i failed in Semister 1 and 2). So that aside i passed all the other modules.

When i went to register today it said the following
You are not currently eligible to register for the coming Academic Year according to our records.

Unfortunately you will be unable to proceed with registration/payment for the moment.
This facility is currently available only to students continuing or following on to Undergraduate or Taught Masters programmes and students looking to repeat attend.
If you experience problems using this facility, please call +353 (0)51 302087 or e-mail registration@wit.ie.

Please Note: If you have completed a Higher Certificate or Level 7 Ordinary Degree Course,
you need to have applied and been offered a place on the relevant follow on course before you will be able to register online

i have to do work experience during the summer and i think i may need to pass that to progress to year 2. ??

anyone know a solution to this ???

You cant register until repeat results are out, contact them and explain your story and see what happens, they should be able to exempt you from it but you may still not be able to register until after the results!

Just go back to classes as normal, but let your course leader know the situation.

Just to reiterate, make sure everyone is aware of the situation and don't assume that it's all sorted for you!

Something of the sort happened me with an email submission of a project in first year, got caught in spam filter and I never got confirmation he received it, well I got a letter a month later I failed due to non-submission of continuous assessment! Had to pay the failure fee and the lot!

Seems a bit harsh if you were able to prove that you sent it. We rarely got confirmations that assignments were received!

Did you speak with your Students Union?

Yes, (knew the president at the time) suggested legal route and it wasn't worth it. I wasn't even the worst effected, other people failed it the same way and one in particular never resent it or made a deal out of it for the repeats and failed it again, but worse was he had failed 2 in semester 1 which forced him to repeat all of first year as you could only carry 2!
