Looking for alternatives to Ariva 150/250

Does anyone have recommendations for alternatives to the Ferguson Ariva 150/250 combo receivers?

I like the feature sets, but unfortunately the inclusion of youporn menus prevents me from getting one of them.

Why? Youporn can be password protected. It's no different to having it on your PC, in fact it's probably easier to access on a PC or a smartphone. A future firmware upgrade will probably allow it to be removed.

    Thanks.
I'm aware that it can be password protected (even if not I could trivially block or redirect traffic externally) - the issue is that children will have access to the box, so the very inclusion of the menu itself is the problem.

On the firmware upgrade front, I've been led to believe from these forums and elsewhere that it's unlikely that Ferguson are motivated enough to produce such a firmware.

Regardless of password, it doesnt actually work unless you have applied the latest firmware fix.

New Triple Boxes are worth a look.

Thanks - I noticed some mentioned on another thread (ST 7162 / Linux based I believe). Are you aware of Irish distributors for any of them? I don't have a need for multiple DVB-S inputs, but if the price was right I'd think about one anyway.

Thanks. I'd already had a look at that (a friend of mine has one and is happy with it).

I've decided to just go for it ... so I've ordered one.

Thanks to all who posted in response to my original query.
