  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,983 ✭✭✭Tea_Bag

So are they taking credit cards or not?

And also are they adding on a surcharge for use of credit cards from Ireland.......
    Ireland:
    Payment in advance € 18,99.
Credit card € 18,99 plus 3% of value of goods.

Sorry to bring up a thread that's a few months old.

Do they now take credit card payments from Ireland?

They've always taken credit cards (PayPal) with me...

I ordered in April and last November, both times I was able to use a credit card no problem.

    Paypal fees are extortionate.
Do they take standard credit card transactions?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,983 ✭✭✭✭tuxy

Anyone? I want to make an order with them next week and want to be sure the card transaction will go through.

It looks like they aren't accepting cards if you live in Ireland. Just do the bank transfer. If you go into your bank they'll sort it out for you. After bitching about not wanting to do it, I finally did. 5 minutes in the bank and it all worked out fine.

Does bank transfer slow down the order? Does it not take a few days to clear?

My parts were delivered in 8 days using a bank transfer.

Most sites I order from take about 3 days. So probably 5 days for it to clear.
Annoying but they really are much cheaper than other places I have checked.

The girl in the bank told me it can take a week, but it didn't. I got an email the next morning confirming they got the money and it was shipped that afternoon. It took three days to get the goods. The only thing is to look in your spam filter for the e-mail. You can follow the progress in your order history and with the courier.

The girl in the bank also set it up for me so I can do it online the next time. I do recommend going into your bank when it's your first time. Because, they know how to do the transfer correctly.

Took 3 days for mine to clear and apparently if I'd gotten it through before noon it would've been 2 days.

€18.99 plus an extra 3% of order total to pay by credit card? For my ~€1430 order, that would have cost me an extra €62.

If time is an issue, scan usually deliver inside a week. They take credit cards too.

I did a quick calculation and hardwareversand.de still work out cheaper for the build I was looking at even if you pay the paypal fees.
They should make a note that regular credit card payments are only accepted from some countries.

Sorry to dredge up a really old thread. But does anybody have know how to pay by CC?

Danske Bank don't allow transfer, unless you pay €150.

I can't find the option and they don't reply to email.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 72 ✭✭lezflano

You probably have to go through paypal then

In the last two weeks i've cancelled about 4 orders. Well, they just expire.
    I can't bank transfer/paypal/get email reply/credit card....

Who are Danske Bank? I know they're the bank that took over NIB, but Jaysis. They are brutal.

Skrill is my last hope. My build has gone from €984 up to €1106 (Using the discount site link).
