    Hey all,
I was wondering if someone can help me with an issue. I am learning to drive and have a 01 micra, that has not been driven for over a year, but i want to start driving it now. A mechanic has offered to buy it should i let it go cheap and get a new one or can I get the car fixed up myself. Does anyone know if this is a good car for starting to learning with?

    Perfect car.
    little goes wrong.
    cheap to run.
    keep it.

only major problem that would change my advice would be rust, check inner sills just in front of rear wheels.

If it has a timing belt, get it replaced, it may break if the car has been unused.

It's a great car to learn on, get cv boots checked and make sure the tyres aren't perished

Do you know what's wrong with it?

Only that will dictate if its worth fixing or not.
