Yip, last year when i was training incorrectly and not seeing any improvement in my times race wise. Started listening to more experienced runners on here like menoscemo, Raycun & like and have seen big improvement in my racing this year. Your a better runner than me, but hang in there it will get better for you. We all go through periods like that i'm sure.

Just reading your training log. How many times do you not run a session or long run in a week. Do you do any runs that are just easy and not long ? Its those runs that I love. I relax, don't care about time/speed/etc and unwind. I must say that some session I don't look forward to as they are hard but I know if I only did sessions and long runs and no "easy miles" I would get sick of it. Are you in a club and do you run with other people. Going for an easy run and chatting to someone is something I look forward to and the focus is more on a chat then the run. Getting caught up in figures and numbers all the time ain't a good thing. Also I have an easy week every few weeks like 2 hard weeks followed by and easy week and repeat. Easy could be 40 Miles where hard would be 60+.

http://www.steveway.co.uk/?p=720 basically the same methodology here (with half the miles) 2 sessions and 1 LSR per week. easy week would be less easy mileage and shorter LSR. Sessions and LSR padded with easy days in between. If it works for him ;) as you can see the mileage is like low, high, high, low, high, high for him.

What is this easy you speak of :P

It is a low mileage plan so I max out at 35km/wk :o I'm sure I spend more time moaning than running :pac:

I've just got to knuckle down for 3 more weeks and then it will be easy running for the whole winter! :D

A sub 30 10K runner once told me that Mo Farah runs between 100-150 miles per week. Once you realize why this is the case then I have no doubt that you will achieve your goal.
