Closed down apparently due to lack of funds to keep it going. Pity.

Shame really. Was that the forum-style website?
It doesn't cost that much to run a website. Anywhere between €30-€80/year. In fact, the most expensive component of maintaining a website is time.
The American company they are using the hosting with are actually expensive and the price can be matched with Irish Hosting companies.

Mods can we have a GAA thread sticky? Lots of other counties have one?

No, stickies are to be kept to a minimum. No other county has a GAA sticky.

Gone the same way as Kilkennycats it seems. The problem is moderation, probably, as you get all sorts posting any auld rubbish. Probably more hassle looking after a site like that than it's worth.

There's a Kilkenny GAA Discussion thread here in the GAA section of the site.
