Music box repair in Ireland?

    Hi all,

I was wondering if you know a palce in Ireland that repairs music boxes. I have a 1960s/1970s-made jewellery music box from my grandfather. It opens and a little ballerina pops up and you can wind it up to play a tune.

The problem is that even when fully wound up the tune plays very slow (I remember as a kid it was much faster) so I would need someone to have a look at the mechanism and maybe change the spring (or whatever it is)?

Does anyone know of a place that may repair these? Thanks!

Try a good clock/watch repair shop. There's a one in Cork thats quite good, got pocket watch repaired that was dropped and they got it going perfectly, but they aren't cheap.

Cork may be a bit too far for me but I may ring up some in my area, cheers!

    No worries.
May not be their bread-and-butter but all it is is a clockwork mechanism driving a cylindrical barrel rather than hands.
