    Has anyone here done a course through the fas even in photoshop.

    Is it any good

    any course like that would usually be outdated ...by the time the "teacher" gets approval to do the course everything is updated and unless they keep on track of it (which the vast majority of FAS courses involving computers didn't) ...chances are it'll be a waste of time (assuming you have the basics in the first place ...or can learn them via a you-tube video or a book)

    in essence a FAS course wont teach you much that you cant learn yourself (at your own pace)

    i did the cs3 fas course online, they give you 6 months to finish it in and it will take you a week if you do a bit every day! at the beginning of each module you watch a little video explanation, you can pause and rewind each bit and then you do a mutiple choice answer thingy at the end. its quite easy and some of the answers are confusing, but you can go back and redo everything over and over until you get it.

    i learnt a little bit and it actually made me sit down and focus more than sitting in front of youtube would :rolleyes:

    i think if the dole are on your back to do something this is a very easy one, ive been onto them to ask about cs6! lol, theyre not very interested.

    ive learnt more on creativelive.com and lynda.

    lesa snyder does a really good photoshop course on creative live so i signed up for email updates as i find that just tuning in sometimes just reminds me of new things i might have forgotten, but practise alot and keep using photoshop and you will learn alot.
