That looks very similar to Real Traps.

Yup. Less than an hour to knock one of these up. All good.

It may be easier to use metal track(like they use for building interior office walls)
The gauge of that metal seems heavy enough and the U bend isn't doing it any favours.
A tin snips would easily cut the metal track also.

    Good Idea

You'll pick up the tray in any electrical wholesaler. It's 4 inch tray and you'll pay roughly 10 euro for a 3 meter length.

I'd reckon it would be cheaper than the postage from that site.

Beautiful. Has it been installed/working perfect to 70hz?. Just finished 10 traps not half as nice as this. Congrats

Congrats indeed to John Crone, the 'inventor'. It looks so simple and it is. But as you have discovered, very very powerful. It is very difficult to make these with wood or other frames and to get a neat finish. A doddle with this metal channel. And incredibly robust.
They have not been tested but 100MM fibre panels have been.
Unfortunately the studiotips.com Corner Absorber Comparison Test seems to be unavailable at the moment. But in short, these devices have a strong 80Hz absorption peak when mounted across corners.
Floor to ceiling, four corners, will do wonders in a room.
