    Well we can add another Irish name to the list of Channel swimmers.

    Think it was the other way around...16hr 13 mins. But still a great achievement. Hey how did you get on in th Galway swim?

    Just checked and you are right. Did the swim but when I got to the 11k mark I ran out of energy and pulled myself from the water into my cover boat. The conditions were horrendous the worst ever experienced by the swimmers that had done it on previous years. My cover boat a 7meter rib was swamped twice and other boat crews were sea sick. But I intend to finish it next year now that I know what to expect.

    God, that's very hard luck Martin.....Fair play to you though for getting to 11k....
