Stuck in Florence

    Am in Florence leaving on Monday and have just realised that my battery charger has been left at home. Almost all shops are closed here till mid aug believe it or not and I cannot buy a charger or indeed get one charged. Anybody I asked is too frightened!!!!
    Tried the Irish bar tonight on the chance that somebody knows somebody with a charger suitable for the Canon 7D in Florence, but no luck, am contacting the forum on the that Chance that somebody knows somebody out here that I could meet up with to get it charged?
    any help much appreciated
