    Hey guys,

Was over in the states with my girlfriend and got to have some Guinness Black Lager which I really enjoyed! I see that it is made available in 800 locations in Ireland now, just wondering where in Dublin you can find it?

I got it in Dunnes in Cork a few weeks back so I'd say any Dunnes would stock it.

What do you think of it? I haven't tried it myself.

I've seen it in a local supermarket in Kildare also, so I'd say it would be fairly widely available. It's interesting, not sure I don't like it.

    Redmonds in Ranelagh stock it

It should be everywhere that you can buy any of Diageos other products.

Looking forward to trying this myself over the next day or two, and have seen it in Dunnes, sounds delicious, but it seems a bit pricey at €7 for 4 bottles.

Most off licenses have it, though
t tasted like harp lager ( not a great beer) with some roasted barley.in it

I was given a bottle to sample from the off licence out my way in Lucan.....not bad, but not great is my take on it. it's inoffensive. Not a beer I'll buy but if someone offered me one I'd have no problem drinking it

    FYP.

I didn't think much of it, tbh, too "burnt" for my liking.

That's interesting. I happened across a promotion in an offie at the weekend and the rep was serving it in blacked-out tumblers. Without seeing the beer -- and already knowing the colour -- I found it tasted exactly like crappy yellow lager: nothing roasty, caramelly, burnt or otherwise "dark" tasting about it.

It mostly the same as bottled stout just a little milder. Drinking one right now.

Had some of this a while ago, have to say, really disappointed. Tastes very vaguely of burnt nothing.

I bought 4 bottles on a whim in the offy a few weeks ago. €5. It was grand but I wouldnt drink it regularly. Probably atick to pints of stout in the pub and cans of lager at home. I dont see the need to try to marry the two.
