Bit of a long shot this and short notice for this time of year. But I recall people asking in this forum about trips to Medjugorje. I have a person doing such a trip for 549 euros for 9 days which would include breakfast and dinner as well as flights and accomodation plus transport from the airport to Medjugorje and back.

Its happening this September 23rd to 31st. Thats 9 days. Our tour guide will be Zelka who is first cousin of visionarie vicka. and we will be staying with another cousin of Vicka too.

just PM me if your interested and I'll pass on the number.

Yeah the person who organizes it is a friend of the family. My mam and dad used to do it too but they are old and tired so they handed the responsibility of doing the forms to someone else. It's the cheapest out there that there is.

and it's pretty much the same price all the time. It used to be only 450 euros but went up and I think we all know why. But wow it is so much better than having to cough up 7-800 euros to go to Medjugorje and be like far away from the Church and village center. Where we will be staying the Church is a 2 minute walk around the corner. :D

I've been twice already and it is a fantastic place and one can certainly feel the presence of Our Holy Mother whilst there.

    That's very reasonably priced, how I wish I could go, but I'm stone-broke! :(

Yeah there is a few pubs and restaurants that also do beers. There is an Irish pub there and it is really great. Nice big screen too for all the sport.

I don't. Why did the price go up?

    One word . . . recession

That's what I thought. But then prices generally do go up, even if there is no recession.

True there could be other reasons that we don't know about. But I think we should be blessed that this man is able to twist a few arms to get us going there for very very cheap.

We would think that due to the recession prices would go down, so people can afford it, but reality is that neither business man nor consumer can afford, one, to have their prices come down and the other, to part with their cash.

Would you know the name of the pub by any chance?
