Can anybody give me some info on the ploughing champsionships? I was called to open interview for ticket selling for the above 3 day event. I asked recruitment agency re: monies etc and she had no details for me. Does anybody know how much you get paid, how long are the hours, will I be standing for ticket selling? What way do we get paid - cheque, bank etc? Do we have to pay PRSI contributions for 3days? Thank you for your help.

I know nothing about the ploughing championships but it's fair to say that the agency claiming they know nothing about T&C's is nonsense - sounds like a rubbish commission only job tbh.

Oh I know Delancey. She was a useless young one on the phone. Her communication skills weren't the best either. I don't think it is commission though. They are looking for car park attendants and stewards too. I was just hoping I could find previous employees on here that could enlighten me. Think I'll just go along to the open interview and see what its all about.

You could try asking over in the Farming & Forestry forum.
'The Ploughing' (as it is known) is the biggest annual farming social/trade event in the country, and a great many of the 'worker bees' on the event (traffic management, parking attendants, ticket/brochure sales, etc) have always been recruited from the local farming community.
I'd be amazed if we didn't have plenty of people there with first-hand experience of what you're asking about.
