Irish Rail vouchers - ticket office closed???

Ok, so here is my dilema.
I have Irish Rail vouchers (issued due to various service failures under passenger charter). Went up to my local station to buy a ticket and the office is closed everyday after 2.30pm, and all day weekends.
I wanted to give the ticket to my wife, as I have an annual pass (note: the vouchers do not say they are not transferable).
So if she got on the train, and presented these at the turnstiles in Connolly, would that be ok?
Having read so many bad stories about the lack of flexibility of Revenue protection staff she ended up just buying a ticket rather than the risk of getting a fine.
    Any thoughts?

Are you able to get to the booking office before half 2? Ring Irish Rail and ask for their advice.

Maybe she could have presented them in Connolly at the ticket desk there?
