A mate of mine has recently moved to a new apartment where he can't get sky. So has is old Sky Plus HD box sitting in a cupboard. I have one of the older white Sky Plus Boxes. Can I take his old box and swap it with my one? Still using my viewing card etc??

    Cheers!

Yes, shouldn't prove to be a problem but you should phone Sky to get them to pair your viewing card to the 'new' Sky+ HD receiver otherwise you'll be missing a few channels and not be able to use the Sky+ facilities. Fairly painless to do.

Sky do this every day,2 of my old ones are going strong in other peoples houses & I've paired up 2 HD boxes in my place.Just have the serial number of the box & viewing card number to hand when you ring them to make things handy (oh & don't forget to ask if they have any offers for you;) )
