Is there any particular reason why you need to outsource this? If you do, considering the way sterling is at the mo, you're likely to wipeout any potential savings by paying someone a fee.

Can I ask why you need a company to help? You would end up paying over the top IMO by doing this.
If you have no time to travel, you could source a car on the net, then have a full professional inspection carried out. If all checked out, you could just pop over to do the final deal and drive home.

    Hi,

I know the exchange isn't great at the minute but the cars in the UK are a way higher spec and you have such a better selection.

I have been looking in Ireland and there's very few around.

I assume your motivation for someone to import a UK one for you is to get a better spec, and not to get a vehicle at a lower cost than the Irish market value ?

If an Irish dealer were to import a car for sale here, after doing all the work in terms of sourcing, checking, transport, warranty, etc, then they would be reasonably entitled to ask for the value of the vehicle in the market where they are selling it. They are unlikely to pass all the savings onto the customer.

Also, from my experience, high spec and low mileage cars in the UK carry a price premium over there, and have higher VRT on this side. The good value is usually in the lesser spec cars with slightly above average miles (ie high enough to keep the UK price down, but low enough to still be attractive here).
