    hi all,

    am planning on going away for 5 nights at the end of october on a group holiday for my sisters 21st / brothers 30th. it will be a cheap and cheerful kinda holiday. we had planned on going to santa ponsa but found out basically everything will be shut down there around the end of october, so i decided to look at gran canaria. just wondering does anyone know if this resort shuts down too and if so any ideas for a lively resort with nice weather and wont break the bank??

    any help would be much much appreciated :)

    i would assume you will be staying in the playa del ingles/maspalomas area of gran canaria, if so then everything will be open but the amount of people there (especially people in their 20s/30s) will be down alot from the summer so its not exactly going to be "lively", weather will still be really nice in october

    thanks rossie1977, playa del ingles was prob going to be the place alright. as long as everything (bars, pubs etc!!) is open its not too bad, thanks for ur reply :)

    Well I went to Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria during October last year and everywhere was open. Still really nice weather and places are kind of busy. Thinking of going to Playa del Inglés this year and hoping the nightlife might be a small bit busier.
