    So I'm going to 2012 Fleadh in Cavan and I'm wondering if I could get a little travel advice. From my lazy googling there doesn't seem to be a gay bar in Cavan but I wonder do any locals know any good bars ("gay friendly" or just general good craic).

    Did anybody go last year?

    Here is a link to a group that meets in Cavan. They mainly meet up for meetings and social outings but occasionally they have a disco in The White Star Hotel in Cavan town http://www.lgbtinc.org

    Failing that there is no gay bar as such in Cavan. I have lived in Cavan for the last 4 years (originally from Dublin) and I would still go to Dublin for nights out. However I was around Cavan town during the Fleadh last year and there was a number of gay guys in The Imperial Nightclub.

    I will be down town later today so if I see anything advertised in any of the pubs I will let you know.
