Has anyone ever had or heard of a 2010 rio losing power and stoping while driving. Sounds mad I know but this happened to my father while driving, any ideas as to whats causing this. would be grateful for any input

If it is 2010 then it should be still under the manufactuer's warranty. Bring it to a dealer for a diagnostic.

Was in with dealer and nothing is showing up. They can find no fault. It's very dangerous as the car has no electrical power, lights, hazards etc

It's not the clutch as I previously suggested. Didn't realise the car is still running.
