I put a rent supplement claim in april, the landlord been dragging his feet but i've got all the relevant documents. My issue is i've been borrowing every which way to pay the rent and am in debt so i need this claim to come through.

My flat is a hovel, damp destroying it, a rat or a mouse in the cupboard. I'm paying 85 a week in dublin 3. I am worried that they will come out and inspect the place say its not suitable/livable and i wont get the backdated to april rent supplement. A ridiculous thought in my head that because the place is terrible i will be screwed.

Anyone in similar situation to the above?
