Does anyone know what was going on in Silverstrand this evening, the Gardai had the road to beach closed and the ambulance was intering towards the beach. Hope it was something minor.

Must have been something minor. We were out there from about 7:25 to 8:15 and there were no Gardai or ambulances, just loads of people having fun on the beach and enjoying the sunshine.

It was jammers in Silver Strand and will be jammers today. The cops should make a fortune down there issuing tickets on double yellows today. :)

If you want an uncongested beach you will have to keep going past Spiddal.

The smell of car exhaust fumes... the beady eyes of pensioners in loose trenchcoats walking their dogs... The full headlights of a newly arrived car heralding the aforementioned deviants, much like moths to a flame.

Dont forget the Guard with his light shining in the window, many a heart stopper that one.
