Someone dies intestate - no known entitled relatives

I work internationally as a genealogical probate researcher.

In the UK the Bona Vacentia list is published every Thursday with a list of people who have died intestate and no known heirs have been located.

    Today's list:

The statute of limitation is 30 years in the UK. In Ireland I notice that there are public notices which appear periodically in the newspapers requesting a potential entitled relative to apply to the probate office if they feel they are entitled relatives to a particular intestate estate. The notice usually states you have 30 days to apply or the intestate estate is taken over by the Chief State Solicitor.

The question is, is there a statute of limitation in Ireland, can an application be made to the Chief State Solicitor if an entitled relative is located after the 30 day's.

As a sample, I have worked on a few notices 2003/2004, there are definitely
living entitled relatives, they may not have seen the notice, did not realise they were related etc.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
