now just to say one thing. I love my car, it's my first car and have had just over a year now and don't plan on getting rid of it. just something I'm attached to. so definitely keeping it.

so I insured it in June and in a few weeks I'm getting my taxi license. I will be renting a taxi.

there is a €2,000 difference if I take my ncb off my car and put onto the taxi and start there with no ncb on my personal car.

is it possible to have 2 cars on the same policy one private one taxi ?

or would anyone have any kind of experience here ?

can they do without the cert and have me down for 2 years ncb so I don't lose it on the private car ?

what would be the best option here ?

    thanks all

    One car one policy,
your gonna have to bike the bullet.
I had the same **** when I wanted a van and keep my car.
even tho you can only drive on at a time.

I probably should mention the price if unclear

    private car with ncb: €1,000.00
without ncb can't be anymore than €1,500.00

taxi fully comp with ncb : €2,500.00
taxi fully comp without ncb: €4,350.00

There are some companies who do more than one car, I know both my uncle and a friend of mine have two cars insured on the one policy I cannot think of who either are with though.

Speak to a broker as they are your best bet but I'd imagine you will have great difficulty get 1 car with a taxi.

Won't work when one of the vehicles is a PSV.

Have you tried the AA for taxi insurance?

AA stopped doing PSV cover about 2 years ago.
